Zaffran....I love you! ;)

For a city that never sleeps, partying is what Mumbai thrives on. But when the party's over and the hunger sets in, Zaffran is one of the few places you can head to...expecting a satisfying smile on your face by the end of it. Open till the wee hours of the morning, Zaffran is a popular spot for many youngsters.
They have an exquisite assortment of mughlai dishes, which is generously praised by all its customers- excellent flavours, piping hot fresh food and generous portions. However, keeping aside the finger- licking Butter Chicken and Naan, I also happened to order a fresh lime water and we all know what a rarity it is to be served with a well- balanced one. But zaffran was definitely not a disappointment. Their desserts taste exceptional and are equally appealing to look at. In my experience, Zaffran also happens to be one of the very few restaurants that serves Hagen Das Ice- cream, and the strawberry cheesecake flavour is ridiculously good.
What also adds to its charm is the fact that Zaffran has incorporated a separate hookah section, and i must say, for a restaurant that isn't solely devoted to being a hookah joint, Zaffran is quite impressive. Low- lying cusions make up for the seating in this section, which accompanied by translucent drapes give it a very Moroccan feel. They have a long list of all possible flavours for all you hookah lovers, so much so that they have a separate menu for the same. In this sense zaffran has managed to cater to it's customers' likings in quite an impressive fashion.

The service is friendly and quite welcoming, yet at the same time is equally prompt and crisp, which definitely is a huge tick! However, if you're planning to go to Zaffran for a good meal and an equally good conversation, you might want to think again. Owing to the loud music and the joint being packed, you can't hope to have a real conversation or a quiet dinner. Zaffran is more along the lines of a place where you can just kick back and relax, and as they say, just "chill", and in that sense the loud music and the young crowd seems to work in sync.
As far as pricing is concerned, you'd probably end up paying a little more than you'd settle for, but it'll all be worth it, guaranteed! In totality a great experience indeed, Zaffran promises to keep you wanting more!
So again,Zaffran...I love you... :D
